Chris Miller and crew winning the first race Sunday

Sunday's Lightning fleet racing was delayed waiting for wind. When it began to fill in, the sailors went on the water and got in two races with light and variable wind conditions.
The exciting news however was that two Junior sailors were at the helm - and each of them won a race.
With winds creating a downwind start condition for the first race, Chris Miller got "Wind Dancer" off fast by coming in on starboard from outside the pin end of the line and gybing at the mark. She kept extending her lead all the way around the course - but got a little scare as boats behind were coming in to the finish on a gust of wind. Chris held on to win by a good margin as the fickle wind changed direction by 180 degrees to propel her across the line as boats behind were stopped between wind systems. Gil Chesbro and Pat Dolan crewed for Chris. Chris finished second in the other race Sunday.
Cody Eggenberger wins Race Two

Race two found Cody Eggenberger driving "Moody's Booty" in good position at the boat end of the line with separation from the remainder of the fleet who decided to start at the pin. With Jennifer McKervey and Mike Moody crewing, Cody found a wind stream that no other boat got - and kept his boat moving. He won the second race going away. Cody had a second place finish in the first race.
Neil Harrison took third place in the first race with Alanna Harvey and John Quensen crewing. Susanna Tellschow had Jamie Rasmussen and Stephen Wagner aboard and sailed to a third place finish in the second race.
