    Junior Sailors Fighting Light Air

    Coach Quensen Helps Junior Sailors

Junior sailors at LSC have seen light air this year. In each of their three sessions so far, wind has been elusive on Tuesday evenings. Although last Tuesday saw the wind come up quickly in association with a passing storm - and several juniors got a chance to practice their capsize recovery techniques.

However, they are still making great progress. Several have even migrated to Lasers as their skill level is quickly advancing. Even the newest of these sailors is making their boat go.

Next Tuesday there will be no Junior Sailing because Fourth of July celebrations will be in swing at the Club - but the schedule resumes on Tuesday, July 11th.

    Saturday Morning Work Party

Don't forget our Saturday morning work party tomorrow (July 1) at 10 am. Rear Commodore Jim Fletcher needs some volunteers to help with some things that need to be done at the Club.

Sunfish Boom Sling - Check it Out

Doug Carlson has come up with an ingenious device to quickly raise the Sunfish Boom for cruising and instruction. This simple and easy to use tool is available in the Sail Shed along with instructions on how to use it.

Check it out, pictures and all, at the LSC web site: www.lansingsailing.org.
