Reservations Due Friday for Nov 10 Awards Banquet

Make Reservations Now for November 10 Awards Banquet and Annual Meeting

2006 Season Complete. Thanks to all members for fulfilling their race committee obligations and making this another great season of racing.

We need to confirm the number who will be attending the November 10th LSC Awards Banquet and Annual Meeting with Beggar's Banquet at the end of this week - so please help us out and act now to reserve your spot. Do this by emailing Vice-Commodore Pat Dolan at patrick@dolan.name or by calling him at 517-214-6568.

As you can see, we will be having the event at one of East Lansing's premier restaurants so the food will be very good - and the cost is even less than last year: $25 per person. There will be a cash bar at 6:30 with dinner at 7:00. The annual meeting, awards and recognition will follow dinner.

So far, we have reservations from the following members. If your name isn't on the list, pleast act now to save your spot.

Website Sailing Shows

Even though there isn't any sailing scheduled on TV, there are several websites streaming sailing shows. Here is a list, courtesy of Scuttlebutt. Try them out, some are pretty good.

t2p.tv Network (www.t2p.tv): Providing sailing shows of major regattas and other programming available on demand.

Sail TV Player (Sail.tv): Providing continuous sailing programming, with great on-demand footage available now of many prominent worldwide events.

Swedish Match Tour (Swedish Match Tour TV): Providing continuous programming from previous events on the premier professional match race circuit.

 

Docks Out Make Up

Any member that couldn't make it for Docks Out can make up their duty by contacting Rear Commodore Jim Fletcher.

There are still some Docks Out related jobs that need attention such as putting tarps over the docks to keep them dry, hanging club Lightning masts in the Club House, picking up the Safety and Committee Boats from Wilson Marine after they have been serviced and taking them to winter storage.

There are also some jobs that need to be done over the winter such as finishing the new course board.
